While I’m not 100% engaged in offering services at present, I’m working towards the idea at least. There are three ways I feel I can offer help to small businesses and others.

Education/Training – providing security awareness seminars to small businesses and other groups illustrating the need for security. I’m currently working on a few concepts for seminars and as I get them nearer to completion will provide more specific details.

Consulting – providing an ear and a voice. I want to know what your environment is like and what you think your concerns are, so we can address those concerns as efficiently as possible. You’ll also probably end up with concerns of which you weren’t aware. The nature of the beast here is a shape-shifter; the attack landscape is constantly evolving and as long as there’s money to be made, this will continue to be the reality.

Assessment/Penetration Testing – hitting your web presence and LAN with all the free tools money can buy. No seriously. But not only will your network be tested, our goal would be to spend time educating you about the tools we used and, where applicable, how you can test your own systems without needing us. In others words, my objective here is to both provide an assessment and provide a means of self-assessment.
